The days are long, the temperatures are soaring and the nights are full of laughter. That’s right, summer’s most definitely here and we’ve been working on all sorts of ways to enjoy it even more.
The first thing we want when the mercury rises is a perfectly chilled beer to enjoy, and not any old beer, it has to be summer style – lighter than the ales and porters of winter. Of course we’ve got our usual range of hand-made, vegan-friendly pints made right here – crisp, refreshing pilsner with its trademark bite and our mellow fruity wheat beer are both great in the heat.
That’s just the beginning though.
Summer Beers
Our brewers hare working their magic to create a summer range of small-batch specials which will light up the warm nights with crafted flavour and refreshment – for a limited time only of course. Ever enjoyed a Watermelon Kölsch? June is your chance but ne careful, it’s deceptively more-ish. Looking for a fruit-driven session beer like nothing you’ve ever tasted? Rhubarb Gose is on tap right now but going fast. Some other brews already fermenting and conditioning include our BBQ India Red Lager, Blackcurrant Berliner Weisse, Lime & Coriander Mexican Lager and Lemongrass Saison. We’ll have more on these as soon as they’re getting near to ready but this whole summer will be a non-stop rolling beer festival – Summer’s Brewing after all…!
We know sometimes too that when the sun’s high in the sky it’s all about getting out in the garden or to the park. You don’t want to spoil things with bad beer though, which is why you can take a five litre (that’s nearly nine pints!) minikeg of any of our beers along with you – we keep them in the fridge ready to go at all times. Choose one of our core range and all summer we’ll give it to you for just £15! Did someone say £1.69 a pint…?
Summer Bites
So with the beer sorted, how about a bite to eat? We’ve got a menu packed with summer favourites like our Mediterranean Salad, Moules Mariniere and Cajun King Prawns to name but a few and some great al-fresco spaces to enjoy them in. After all, it’s not about slaving away in a hot kitchen when it’s looking so great out there! What’s that? You’ve got a great garden too and friends coming round? Ok, we’ll see you next time but we can still help out with the food – bring it round to your place via Deliveroo!
On top of this all we’ll be kicking off a special series of summer events all around Zerodegreesland – live music in Blackheath every Friday, epic barbeques in Bristol over the summer, special brewery tours and tastings at Reading and Cardiff, it’s going to be epic!
