A delicious beer made with Surplus Bread that would have otherwise been wasted!
Raise A Toast to raising the standard of brews with not just quality but ethics too! We are super excited to Collaborate with Toast Ale on a brew thats really delicious. Thanks to Riverside Sourdough, we are using surplus bread that otherwise wouldn’t have received any love, to make this wonderful AmaRYEllo Single hopped Rye Bread Ale. Our Cardiff brewer Pawel, worked hard to make sure it was just right before it was launched. The team from Toast Ale and Riverside Sourdough spent the day at Zerodegrees Micro-brewery in Cardiff and had a whale of a time creating this for lovers of a fresh beer with a twist! It was a real pleasure to have them on board, all the while, together doing our little bit to contribute to saving food that would otherwise be wasted!
The beer is made with Amarillo hops and produces an amazing combination of tasting notes! From a hint of banana to a delicate spicy note from the Rye Malt! A sensational beer that is sensational in its making too! Try it with our Seafood Pizza, it’s a real winner with it! The kitchen is forever experimenting with tastes and combinations of beer and pizza, or pasta dishes we serve on the menu! Book a table and try something new?
Our Cardiff brewer, Pawel said ” It’s my small contribution to saving food from being wasted with the help of Riverside Sourdough and Toast Ale and all in all we saved 40kg of bread ” It may not sound huge but it’s a message we like to promote. Every little helps and if we can grab an opportunity to save food that may otherwise be wasted then we will do so! Profits are donated to the Cardiff Food Bank!
